Spotted! Joe Fresh Snap On Palettes

The Joe Fresh snap on collection allows you to create your very own palette. There are eye quads, lip duos, and face duos that retail for $12CAD each.

I'm not sure about their exact names but this "snap on" or magnetic type of palette isn't a new idea. There is no information available yet on the website. You should be able to find these at your local Loblaw or Superstore. Pick. Click. Create. What will you do? The eyeshadows can be bright and vibrant or neutral and subdued.

Here is a closer look at the cream eyeshadows and cream blushes. The bright coral cream blush is called Melon and I think that it is quite stunning ^^

Spotted! Joe Fresh Pop Gloss, Cream Eyeshadow in Guava & Blush in Apricot

Joe Fresh Pop Gloss

Bottom: Joe Fresh Pop Gloss in Cosmo
If you happen to see the colour swatches on the Joe Fresh website, the colours are totally off. Unless I mixed up the names with their respective colours.

Joe Fresh Cream Blush
The colours were really similar when I saw them in the store. But you can see that Rose is a little cooler with slight mauvy undertones (a baby pink) where as Apricot is more peachy. I can't wait to see the rest of the colours!

Joe Fresh Cream Eyeshadow in Guava and Cream Blush in Apricot
This is the second cream eyeshadow I've seen so far. Guava is a warm pink with gold flecks in it, if I remember correctly. You can see the other cream eyeshadow in Cactus I blogged about here.

It's a good time to try base makeup from Joe. Liquid and cream foundations and powder are all on sale! A pretty sweet deal.

Ecotools are now available at your local Loblaw :)

Swatched Up a Storm: Joe Fresh Spring 2011 Nail Polish in Oyster, Wave & Cloud

Exciting new for all you Joe Fresh nail polish lovers out there (including me)! If you haven't seen their website recently, I can tell you that their spring collections have hit stores. This season, for nail polishes, they have 3 different displays and I have successfully spotted 2. Mind you that the Spring 3 display that I saw at Loblaw was terribly eaten...

Spring 3 display

Joe Fresh nail polish in Wave/Oyster

Joe Fresh nail polish in Oyster
Oyster really stood out to me because it's formula really remind me of Peacock. It has a duochrome effect because in certain lighting, it appears silver. But in different angles, I can see purple and sometimes green. I can already imagine it on my toes, twinkling. The effect much like the inner shell of an oyster.

Joe Fresh nail polish in Cloud/Wave
I don't know why I decided to try on Cloud. It's a basic gray with very fine pearl shimmer in it that is very unnoticeable on the nails. Then again, I don't have neutral colours...I prefer loud and bright ones :) Did I ever mention that I absolutely LOVE pastels? I love Wave. Wave might remind you of Powder Blue. Wave is a lot lighter in terms of colour, a light almost "fluffy" baby blue, and it gives off an aura of calmness. Both Wave and Cloud is a cream finish so I'm guessing that the formula is similar to Mint and Faded Violet (review here).

In all the swatches, 3 coats were needed to achieve opacity.

Mint vs. Wave
In the photos with poor lighting, it might remind you of Mint. But I assure you that they are drastically different.

I will hunt the last display down. It looks like the package designers (perhaps graphic designers) switched up the bottle. The ones from the Spring 2 display looks squared...but strangely, I like it.

On a side note, I think I found a suitable dupe for Nicole by OPI's Nicole...Spotted! (Gossip Girl Collection 2010). It is Nail Junkie by Sinful Colors. Don't believe me? Find out for yourself. Behold:

Pinkie finger: Nicole...Spotted! Fourth finger: Nail Junkie

Sorry about the black and pink rims. It was my attempt of quick removal. I only had on one coat of each.

I saw the Nicole nail polishes on sale for $4.98CAD at Pharmaplus. Want more info and pictures? Click here!

Spotted! Joe Fresh Cream Eyeshadow in Cactus & Blush in Rose

I saw this Joe Fresh display at my local Loblaw. They both have semi-matte packaging and the cream eyeshadow in Cactus is a bronzey moss green with gold flecks in it. The cream blush in Rose looks like a rosy baby pink.

Bunnie Loves: Joe Fresh Nailpolish in Mint, Faded Violet, & Peacock

All pictures are *click worthy* ;)

You have no idea how lazy I am. This post was supposed to be up during the summer. YES. 4 months. See how  backlogged I am? It's funny too because Mint and Faded Violet were thought to be limited edition spring/summer 2010 colours. Now I believe they're permanent :) I've blabbed a lot about the Joe Fresh line so if you haven't heard about it yet, they're only available at Loblaws and Superstore supermarket chains across Canada.

TO THE REVIEW! *pic heavy*
I will separate this into 3 different sections so I can focus on the individual colours because their finish and formula varies.

Barbie Loves Joe Fresh

Recently, I found out that Joe Fresh is collaborating with Barbie (TM) for a sleepwear collection ^^ It's interesting so I decided to share~! Joe Fresh is hosting a contest where you can win some fab Barbie PJs, sleeping bags and much more! Even if the chances of winning might be slim, Joe Fresh is holding fun and exciting events such as cupcake decorating and t-shirt designing :) I think those events might be more suitable for kids. If you know what I mean *wink wink*

Swatched Up a Storm: Nail Polish 2

sorry about the recent absenses! it has been very difficult for me to find time to write a post...especially being a perfectionist -_-;; i like to provide my readers with high quality pictures and accurate information so research is sometimes necessary.

i had a lot of lovely comments on my first nail polish swatch post ^^ with fall coming in, new collections hit stores and you see this random girl walking around with a handful of nail polish testers and a skittles manicure. haha i do it for all you awesome people!

Quo is celebrating their 10th anniversary with an alluring limited edition! this is the very first time where they feature nail polishes as part of their line.

you've probably already heard about the Nicole by OPI Matte Collection around the blogsphere. i was at shoppers the other day spotted the collection! i think the colours are really unique and are worth getting since they have fine shimmers in them, but dries to a matte finish. shimmers+matte= uber interesting ^_~ they dry fast too! almost like lightning haha

i only tried on 2 colours: virtuous violet and positive energy. i used 2 coats [=

i went over to zellers since it was in the mall anyways. i saw this interesting wetnwild color icon insomnia collection and i was spooked by its dark theme. i swatched 33484 blue jitters and 33486 (one coat). apparently they have great formula and a few coats provide a rich opacity with nice glitter. some of them lack shine so they appear dull (just use a top coat to solve this problem).

lastly, i visited my nearest loblaw, and they had almost all the
joe fresh fall colours in stock! i went there twice. the first time, they had all of them but when i took the picture, they only had these.

from left: matte top coat, storm, fog, brick, caramel, khaki, persian blue, jade, orchid

here are the swatches! i was only able to swatch a few from each collection.

Bunnie Likes: Joe Fresh Fine Tip Liquid Eyeliner

Weather right now: little chilly with cloudy periods.
Listening to: 2NE1 Clap Your Hands (love their new catchy tunes!)
Wearing: Joe Fresh Nail Polish in Peacock

eyeliner is essential and i think that every girl that wears make up should have one. of course, everyone is different so we all have to go through the trouble of finding the right one. i bought the joe fresh fine tip liquid liner a few months ago and i actually really like it, even though it isn't really that great =P i heard from several people that this eyeliner is the exact dupe for mac's pen ultimate eyeliner! here's the youtube video. the joe fresh eyeliner retails for $6.00CAD while the mac one is $16.50USD.

the ingredients...hmm..i wonder if it matches the mac one exactly.... ^^

its claim: "shape and define your eyes with easy to handle liquid liner. dries fast for rich, deep, long lasting colour."

the packaging is quite bland and generic which i don't mind. it has a cap that provides a good grip on the pen so i don't have to worry about it drying out fast. it even says to store horizontally otherwise the eyeliner might not last.

the joe fresh collection is only available in loblaw and superstore chains across Canada.

i like the the flexible fine tip that makes application easy. from thin to thick lines, you can control this eyeliner without a problem. i like to apply it using small strokes and building up the colour, then winging it out. sometimes, the ink doesn't reach the tip so you might have to give it a good shake. i find that the tip may become worn out or frayed with time :/ but it's still in fairly good shape right now.

as for colour, i have it in black which is part of the classic collection (permanent) along with brown. i've also seen them in teal/turquoise and olive. when i say that this eyeliner doesn't deserve my love, it's because it isn't very long lasting and it smudges throughout the day. it goes on pigmented. but after a few blinks, the liner fades (maybe due to smudging) which doesn't bug me that much since it looks natural :)

overall, a 7.5/10 but i like this joe fresh eyeliner! it definitely defines the eyes and is easy to control. i prefer liquid over pencil eyeliner because of the finish. however, this liner doesn't really last and smudges easily. but for 6 bucks, you really can't complain! if i somehow get my hands on a dolly wink liquid eyeliner, i'll probably ditch this one >.<

so would you give this a try?

Spotted! Joe Fresh Fall/Winter 2010 Nail Polish Collection & Mini Haul

i got around to actually taking the picture today. so happy the joe fresh new nail polishes arrived! i was lemming the matte top coat when i first heard about it.

from left: matte top coat, storm, fog, brick, caramel, khaki, persian blue, jade, orchid

this is a small buy ( i just love joe fresh nail polishes lol): matte top coat, orchid (deep plumish purple), jet (black)

they were 3 for $10CAD, available at any loblaw and superstore chain. the matte coat and orchid is part of the fall collection while jet is part of the permanent classic collection ^^

my 'sister' :P wanted a good black polish so i referred her to this one. to my surprise, one coat is already really opaque and it dries hella fast!

i swatched two of the other colours in the fall collection so stay tuned for another, swatched up a storm post! enjoy you weekend, ladies!
