HAUL: FREE CLOTHES from H&M, Lush, Sephora, Walmart

Goodies from H&M, Lush, Walmart & Sephorah
Hello! I just wanted to show you my huge haul that I usually once a year. This is basically my Boxing Day 2012 haul (Boxing Day is similar to Black Friday in the U.S.) So you're probably wondering, HOW THE HECK did I get free clothes from H&M? Is this a scam? Erm lol no. Since Boxing Day of 2011 (at least that's what I can recall), H&M decided to give the first 100 shoppers up to $300CAD worth of free clothes.

My friends got these during Boxing Day 2011
I went during 2011 and by the time I got there, I only got a $10 coupon. Learning from my mistake, I rounded up two of my friends and you can call me craycray, but I convinced them to come with me to the mall's parking lot at 1 in the morning xD Long story short, these immature "kids" (they probably dropped out of highschool or something) butted us and everyone else in the line when the security opened the mall's doors and they got to the store first...and neither my friends or I got the $300 coupon. Everyone else witnessed what had happened and they were very nice and super supportive of us and my friends, telling us that we should do something about it. I called the H&M store but they couldn't do anything about it so I just sucked it up. Quite honestly, I wanted to punch those assholes (they didn't just butt people, they also used really dirty tricks to get there first) in the face but I knew I would gain nothing so I just sat there and fumed. In the end, luck was in my favour and I got the $200 coupon (yay for happy ending) which I split with my friends who each received $25 themselves.

From H&M, I got this super cozy Divided hoodie (orignally $60 reduced to $20), a constellation shirt ($29.95), the neon clutch ($19.95 but the exact model is available at Forever21 for $23.80), and a shirt for my dad (it's the wrinkled grey one :$).

I fell in love with the sweater because of the thick lining and the pretty knitted detail of the lining :)

The proof
I wasn't kidding! I only had to pay $5 but hey! I got $90+ worth of free clothes. Still a good bahhhgain ahaha

From Walmart, I bought some Christmas chocolates as they were 50% off and two brush sets. The brush is really cool and perfect for travelling because the handle of the brush has a compartment for an eye sponge brush (meh), a concealer and lip brush. They were half off as well ($4.50) and I got the purple one for my mother. Brushes are super soft! I believe the brand is, how do you say, Bella Bellisima? Lush was doing a buy one get one free promotion like last year. I bought some Snowglobe and Mr. Punch soap.

Lastly, from Sephora, I bought their $12 specials including Buxom Lashliner with brush in Sequin, Urban Decay Shadow Box, Stila Lipglaze trio, and Benefit cream eyeshadow. I'll be gifting those beauties to friends and family when I visit Hong Kong.

I guess this is it! I hope you enjoyed this rant/post and have a great day ^^ Cheers!

Hitting Pan! MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation

Woooo! So I've finally hit pan on a product xD which hasn't happened since grade 4 when I got one of those cheapie cellphone lipgloss palette
from a book order lol. Good times. And what's weird is that I might still have that exact lipgloss hiding somewhere...

I've had this MAC powder since September which retailed around $34CAD. I can't remember the price exactly. I really like this product since it meets my needs. It's coverage is full for a powder so it covers 85% of my redness and acne. It does a pretty good job with keeping shine at bay. Usually, my nose gets shiny in 2 hours after washing my face in the morning but the powder slows it down to around 4-5 hours. It hasn't broke me out nor oxidized on my skin so when I finish this one, I'll either get another one or try the MUFE Duo Mat powder.

This powder is great for those who needs high coverage makeup that takes less than a minute! Highly recommend!

Hope you enjoyed this quick post ^^

Haul: THE FACE SHOP at Pacific Mall

One of my close friends told me that THE FACE SHOP from Korea opened up at two locations in Toronto and being the Korean cosmetic/skin care junkie that I am, I was dying to go. Luckily, I had to run errands in the busy city today so I stopped by the store in Pacific mall (pmall for short) to pick up some items.

The White Mud Nosepack has been on my list ever since Pam from xpinkxx raved about it. I tried looking for it in Hong Kong but I flew back to Canada with empty hands. The same friend that told me about THE FACE SHOP recommended me their nail polishes. Although they streak on the first coat, the overall product is well worth the mere $1.75CAD. Not even WetnWild is this inexpensive. I picked up PK101, a cool baby pink and I might give it to my other friend who's in need of some new polishes ^^ The last item that I bought was the Raspberry Roots Depuffing Eye Gel. I've never used eye products before so a depuffing one is a nice way to start.

I'm not sure if this is true at the other location, but all the sales associates spoke Korean so if you can do that, I suggest you do. Apparently they're even nicer then and you get a lot of samples. Don't forget to sign up for their points card! Down side to that is that it's location specific -.-;; like if you got it at pmall, you can only use it there. Another tip is that try to talk to the SAs and be friendly. If you're from out of town, let them know discretely. The cashier gave me double the samples which is way better than the service at Holika Holika that's only a few stores away.

In the phone department, I bought a clear hard iPhone case for $5CAD and got the bumpers for free! I'll definitely be doing some DIY on it~ I went to 4 stores to find the best price and $5 was it. Cases for the 4/4s were as cheap as $2! So grab them while you can.

That's all for now~! Good night!

Welcome 2013!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a lovely holiday break as well as a wonderful new year ^^ I wish you all the best for 2013. I just want to show you what I've been up to these past days~

I picked up some supplies from the dollar store and made a bouquet of paper roses and a vase for my mom :) Any one interested in a DIY? It's perfect for Mother's Day~

New Years Eve's Dinner
My family went to a friend's house for dinner on New Year's Eve and we had roast beef! It was super satisfying and delicious.

Round 2!
After dinner, we went to another friend's house for the countdown. They had many snacks and desserts! I was practically in heaven >< My mom made the trifle which tastes as good as it looks and the macarons...they kinda failed :p

Chocolate fondue fountain!
This was probably the best feature of the night~ The son of the house owner asked for a fondue fountain for Christmas and he was generous enough to share it with us!

Can you guess what the sweater's suppose to be?
He also got an awesome PSY sweater for Christmas! At first glance, I thought it was one of those white robots from Star Wars xD He told me that it was from Korea so sorry, PSY/Gangnam Style fans. I could barely breath through the fabric.

New Year's Dinner
My mom made 龍蝦伊麵/lobster yee mein (lobster egg noodles) since lobsters were only $3.99CAD/lbs! She is such a great cook.

Homemade Purple Sweet Potato Buns
My mom had the day off, so we made some purple sweet potato buns together. The house smelled like a bakery! I would love to wake up to this smell every morning. It turned out really well too!

Once again, Happy New Year! Thanks for reading ^^
