All three photos were taken in natural light, it just depends on how close they were to the window.

Glitterama Liquid Eyeliner in PomPom (purple) & Majorette
1-4 are all in natural light, but 1 was right next to the window. PomPom stands out to me more because it has fine blue and purple glitter in it.

Spotted! Walmart 03/19/2011

Canadian Walmarts have finally received various new products.

I've heard good things about the lipstains.

The price has gone down a lot from the first time I saw them in a magazine. I believe they cost somewhere around $42CAD.

Finally! Their Naturally Clear green tea line has arrived for Canadians!

I bought a lot of these goodies so be sure to check our my haul (Fresh Off the Buy) here.

CandyDoll Base Makeup Series are Available for Pre-Order!

I believe that this pre-order event is only available to people in Japan. You can get more information on this site (which is where you can pre-order it). As of now, there aren't many shades to choose from, around two only: light beige (yellow under tone) and a light skin colour (pink under tone). Who's excited?

CinnaBunnie Loves: Orange Avenue UV Color Lipgloss in 08 Milky Pink

Not so long ago, my aunt helped me get some skincare and cosmetic products from Hong Kong. Thank you auntie!! She picked up this Orange Avenue UV Color Lipgloss in 08 Milky Pink. I've never heard of this brand and it seems like they don't have a website either (I used Google). The "UV" part in this gloss makes me wonder: does it change colour in the sun or does it have SPF? hmmm...it is something that will remain a mystery to me since I can't find much info about it. I'm positive that it doesn't change colours in the sun, sadly. Anyways, I'd like to share my thoughts about this particular lipgloss with you.

Texture & colour: The picture above describes this colour as a milky pink but the name is actually very misleading. I have a feeling that they misnamed it because it is definitely not "milky" to me O_o It is more like a ruby grapefruit pink with fuchsia undertones and silver shimmer. I must admit that I really like this colour for the colour and shimmer combination is really unique ^^ It applies sheer on my lips, giving it a slight "healthy lips" kind of tint and luminous shine. The shimmers are fine enough that it does not feel gritty on my lips. The downside that might bug some people is that the formula is sticky. The Orange Avenue UV Color Lipgloss is a tad stickier than MAC Lipglasses. The lasting power is about 2.5 hours with drinking and minimal snacking.

You can see the strip of fuchsia in the middle =]

Application & packaging: It is your standard lipgloss packaging that involves a doe-foot applicator. However, the applicator is extreme long: about 1/3 longer than your usual doe-foot. This factor can be helpful to those with plumper and fuller lips. Just one swipe will do the job thanks to the elongated applicator that carries a sufficient amount of product. I believe the handle is made out of metal and the actual tube is made out of plastic. The handle always feel cool to the touch which I find really comforting, especially in warmer weather.

Flavour & scent: If you read the name of this product and wondered if it smelled or tasted like oranges, then you are half correct :) There is virtually no taste (*licks lips* nope. Nothing) but the lipgloss is orange or tangerine scented (if only I can get my hands on some Etude House Miss Tangerine products...) which is very yummy. It does carry an artificial zing to it but pretty much all fruit-scented products do. The scent isn't strong or cloying.

1-3: natural light/4:flash
Price & availability: I believe that my aunt got this at Sasa in Hong Kong for $18HKD (if I remember correctly) so thats about $2.25CAD which is very inexpensive for an 8mL lipgloss. The only website that I found where you can actually order is this one, but the price is jacked up to 10 bucks (probably USD). They have a lot of colours to choose from. Orange Avenue also makes BB creams (here's a brief mention about it in a video)and foundations (mrs.cheapcheap blogged about it here, the packaging looks really cute!)

Ingredients
Overall: I really love the unique colour and I've gotten compliments when wearing this lipgloss. It is not overly shimmery and it is not frosty looking at all. Orange Avenue UV Color Lipgloss in 08 Milky Pink is made in Korea and is very affordable. The scent is very alluring to me and it deserves an 8/10. I took two points off because it isn't readily available and the ingredients aren't exactly natural.

FOB: New Hard Candy Products and St.Ives Green Tea Line Hits Canada!

Yes. Another haul post hehe
It's funny how things are always piled up at the same time ya know? I walked into Walmart ages ago (okay maybe a month ago) and I did that twice (so back it up another month let's say) and I wasn't able to find the much raved concealer: Hard Candy Glamoflauge or the much raved green tea cleanser: St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser. I was disappointed because it always takes a million years for our makeup department to catch up to the one of the States (you lucky girls! and boys...) So finally, I was able to get my hands on the new goodies by Hard Candy today ^^

The Goods
Hard Candy Fox in a Box Bronzing Duo in Skinny Dipping (I absolutely LOVE corals!), Hard Candy Glossaholic Sequin Saturated Lip Gloss in Gorgeous, and Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer in Medium. I hope I picked the right shade for my NC30 skin tone because the tan one looked too dark but I heard that the concealer actually goes on lighter than it appears in the tube O_o

SPAresource (only available online and at Walmart, not sure if it's only available in Canadian Walmarts since the website is ".ca") recently added a new Pro-Series line of brushes. I own their small eyeshadow brush from their older line and the quality was pretty good for the price. This time I bought the SPAresource Pro-Series Stipple Brush because I still don't have a stippling brush in my collection and I want to review for all of you lovelys =]

I have been tracking down the Naturally Clear green tea line from St. Ives and it has finally arrived at my local Walmart. I bought the cleanser since I still need to finish my apricot scrub. Hopefully it'll help me with acne prevention and keep my face clean and refreshed!

Be sure to stick around for a Spotted! post about Walmart! They had ton of new products!

FOB: Restocking & Refueling

Hooray for retail therapy. It really works for me especially after stressful times :) It is a way of rewarding myself...and just try new things! This is a very collective FOB (fresh off the buy) or haul throughout January to now.

The Valentine LUSH goodies: Magic Mushroom (isn't there a drug with the same name? XD I remember those health classes...good times=P) Bubble Bar, Love Birds Soap (which I already reviewed), and a sample of Dark Angel Facial Cleanser. The furry earmuffs and yellow tank top were from Ardene when they had a mega 75% off selected merchandise sale ^^ They were both under 4 bucks CAD~

Mini Carried Away Body Mist from Bath & Body Works which smells amazing!! So juicy, ripe and fresh :) Perfect for gals who love fruity florals. It reminds me of lychee too! At Zellers, they sometimes have really good deals if you walk in at the right time. I got this NYC Smooth Mineral Eye Powder Kit for $2.00CAD when it was originally $7.97CAD.

Bath & Body Works had all the mini PocketBacs on sale. $5CAD for 5! I got 10 in total so that I have little gifts for friends and family when I visit Hong Kong in the summer. Hehe I can't wait to see my family and eat all the food!! And shopping of course ;) The Liplicious Best Kiss lipgloss was free with a $10CAD purchase. It is a self-adjusting lipglosses that turns a perfect pink (review coming up!) on your pout. It smells like berries! So yummy... From Garage, I bought a pair of purple wayfarers but I later returned it for a nail polish because the sunglasses were just too big for my face XD I got the bamboo tote for free (it only costs a dollar if you want to buy it). I went to Zellers again and found even more steals! The Neutrogena Wave Refill Pads were $5.00CAD, the Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eyeshadows POP for brown eyes were only $4.00CAD (originally $15.79CAD), the Maybelline Fit Me foundation was around 9 bucks but I got them to price match it to $7.99CAD and I had a coupon for $3.00 off. So it only cost me 5 dollars :) That's one of the benefits at Zellers. On top of that, the cashier gave me an extra 30% or 40% off the items with stickers so I saved quite a lot of money. Be sure to be a smart shopper and take advantages of these policies/sales!

L.A. Girl Color Addict Nail Color in Delirious from Garage.

Urban Planet had a buy one get one for $1 sale on family day. I bought this really cute teddy bear loosely-fitted crop shirt along with a bubble t-shirt with fancy detailing on the back. The total was around $14CAD which is not bad considering the very intricate design of the second shirt (and I just instantly fell in love with the first one hehe).

Every time I see the back, I go 'oooh' and 'ahhh' just for a few seconds. No biggie.

My aunt bought some skincare goodies for my mom and I :) She knows what I like...I was really surprised when she got me the limited edition Alice in Wonderland set (the blue one has 2 Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Masks in it). I ran out of my Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner Light_EX so I am currently using Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion. I also have the matching essence (dark blue in above picture) and the emulsion(very bottom picture). The rest include: an Estee Lauder eyeshadow quad, Orange Avenue UV lipgloss, brush set (black roll), cute girl tweezers, and a liquid eyeliner.

If there is anything you want me to review, let me know. I'm still testing out the Hada Labo skincare so I will make a post about each product individually when it's time ^^

Spotted! Annabelle 4Show & Day Dream Spring 2011 Collection

The Annabelle 4Show Collection was released not so long ago but it looks like this isn't the actual spring collection. I saw this at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. Annabelle says that these products are for makeup junkies who want to express their inner artistry!

The Annabelle 4Show Collection features:

  • 4 new Annabelle Volumelip Lip Plumping Gloss in

I really like Coralicious! It's a beautiful pinky coral colour hehe I have a soft spot for corals.

4Show eyeshadow quad swatches

The eyeshadows are really lacking in pigmentation when used dry and the texture is on the harder side. Not velvety smooth :(

I also saw Annabelle's new LipStain Markers and Smoothie Eyeshadow Pencils at Shoppers but it was a different store. These two specific products are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart and they are also limited edition! I am always intrigued about new lipstains (still waiting on the NYC ones) so if I get the chance, I will definitely try them.

If you are dying to try out the LipStain Markers(~$8.95CAD), you better get them quick because they're limited edition >< I swatched these and they're like any other lipstain in terms of use and application. It's exactly like a marker, easy to control.

These Smoothie Eyeshadow Pencils(~$8.95CAD) are exactly how they are named: they glide on like a dream. If you've ever used an Annabelle smudgeliner, it's even smoother than that! You slick it on, wait for a minute or two, and BAM! It stays put without fading or smudging. I washed my hands with the swatches on and they didn't budge.

Grapefull stand out to me the most because it has blue shimmers in it, giving it a very mysterious effect.

Now, the actual Spring 2011 collection is called Day Dream. Featuring bright fun colours like flamboyant yellow, you're bound to scream spring (and Easter)!

This limited edition collection includes:

Annabelle tend to group all their collection releases which is rather annoying...obviously customers will send more when you release them one by one :P Anyways, I hope you found this post somewhat interesting and informative. I am not affiliated with this company, I just really like their products so I want to spread the word ^^ I'll probably be lemming most of these new products. Unfortunately, my wallet won't allow me to bring all of these home :( *sniffs* Enjoy your weekend!!! Is there something you're dying to get? Let me know!
