HAUL: Day after Valentines is the BEST!

The reason that I love Valentines Day is because the day after means that all the pretty heartsy-themed products along with chocolates are half off! I stopped by my local supermarket (Loblaws) and this is what I left with ^^ The bill added up to only $4.81CAD! Check out your local supermarkets early for the best selection~

My mom and I baked some Madeleines as Valentines Day treats for our coworkers and friends. You gotta share some sweetness and love on valentines day ;)

My mom knows me so well and surprised me with a chocolate cupcake with strawberry icing!! It was heavenly. The icing was the best part as it had actual chunks of fruit in it.

I saw this beanie baby monkey at Claire's. On the 10th, it was the first day of Chinese New Year. I also had an exam that day xD I'm glad its over now!!

L'Occitane Peony Hand Cream

Today, I picked up my free hand cream from L'Occitane for being a fan on their Facebook. They had a giveaway like this before which I was apart of. But for some reason, I never received it and when I contacted the PR, they just told me that the offer expired and there was nothing they can do. It seems like some PRs are pretty crappy these days. :/

I'm super excited to try this hand cream though! It is 30mL and retails for $12. The SA that helped was really sweet and gave me some samples to try~ thank you!!

Swatches: Annabelle CC Cream

I saw this display at PharmaPlus yesterday and I believe this is the first CC Cream to hit Canadian stores!

I swatched the products and to my disappointment, they lacked pigment. The powder was chalky while the cream disappeared on my hand after I blended it. It had a nice gel consistency and a light wine mixed with plastic scent.

The only product that's worth buying is the white base which had beautiful fine golden shimmer in it. It reminds of the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer where you can wear the product alone as a highlighter or as a medium to mix your foundation/bb cream in for a satin finish. It also had a gel consistency and spread very well. The scent reminded me of natural beeswax.
