Spotted! Bath & Body Works C.O. Bigelow Organics Lipglosses and Fruit Scented Rose Salve

 C.O. Bigelow Organics Lipglosses in Ripe Blackberry(purple), Strawberries & Cream(pink), and Golden Peach (peachy pink).

I tried on Golden Peach and compared to the Mentha Lip Tint in Pink Mint (by the same company), this on glides on more smoothly as its consistency is more watery but not runny. It smells and tastes like peaches too! It shows up clear on my lips. I believe it was a sheer gold but I couldn't tell exactly in the store's lighting.

C.O. Bigelow's original Rose Salve in normal packaging, new packaging (really pretty and suits spring!), Apple Rose Salve (sounds delsih ;), and Blueberry Rose Salve. I wonder what colours they'll be.

Spotted! Limited Edition Covergirl Clean Compacts

Spotted these LE CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder compacts at Shoppers Drug Mart (currently $7.99CAD) and a portion of the proceeds will go towards getting children in Africa clean water ^^ So it's a very good cause. The only variations of the powder that I saw were the normal(brown/cheetah) and sensitive(green/snake) type. I find the oil control(blue/zebra) to be the most appealing. Sadly, they didn't carry it.

Talk about wild. rawr.

The product that intrigued (haha) me the most is the L'Oreal HiP Shine Struck Liquid Lipcolor. They look highly pigmented and I really love corals ^^

This is a really good deal bundle since the Magic Perfecting Base usually retails for a high price. If you had your eye on this for a while, it's a good time to get it! The coloured primers look interesting enough =P They seem a little gimmicky to me though since coloured primers never work on me.

Revlon Romantics Limited Edition Collection

You see those little round pots? Those are the new Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Balm. I can tell you that the texture is rather hard and slightly sticky. It applies super sheer (probably won't show up on lips) and it gives a shiny finish. It also includes a brush hidden in the top compartment. All shades have sparkles. My friend recently bought one and she told me about the product. 

Random question: Would you swatch a product if it was already swatched and opened although it wasn't a tester? *Before I saw the Revlon display, one of the lip balms were already opened :/ Some had broken the seal and swatched it!*

Mixed Berry

 This is my favourite out of the two because it tastes less artificial. The mixed berry smoothie is more tangy and you can actually taste the melange of blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. You can also see the seeds.

Strawberry Banana

The strawberry banana smoothie taste really artificial; the banana flavour is too overpowering, making it overly sweet. I do not recommend this flavour. You can see strawberry seeds in this one too.

Weighing in at 160 calories (without yogurt), the smoothies are definitely a better alternative when you need something sweet and cool to quench your thirst during the summer. An iced cap has 310 calories and I believe they both cost $1.99CAD for a small (correct me if I'm wrong). If you're looking for actually fruit chunks or fruits being blended into a smoothie, then this isn't for you. When I bought this, I noticed that they had a slushy looking machine with clear liquid in it, and I think they just poured some fruit juice in it and mixed it with the slushy base. It still tasted good haha


 I can finally feel that spring is in the air! Hooray for warm weather! Now I can drink these smoothies without the shivers ^^

Wear It & Share It: Spring 2011

This post is a little different from my last "Wear It & Share It" post. Instead of focusing on one piece of clothing and finding the many ways to wear it, I went around to stores trying on newly released clothes. This is obviously collective and it spans over 2-3 months of trying on clothes. I just wanted to show you what certain clothes look like on an actual person :) Let's say that this is my attempt to give you a helpful guide(?!) before you step into a store of your preference and see the perfect piece (the one that literally glows as if it's in a halo) but find out later that it looks horrible on you....That happened to me many times, sadly. In the end, I didn't actually buy any of the things that I tried on because they were either too expensive or the quality wasn't great or I just didn't love it. This post is picture heavy so beware! raaaawr.
