Swatches: Annabelle CC Cream

I saw this display at PharmaPlus yesterday and I believe this is the first CC Cream to hit Canadian stores!

I swatched the products and to my disappointment, they lacked pigment. The powder was chalky while the cream disappeared on my hand after I blended it. It had a nice gel consistency and a light wine mixed with plastic scent.

The only product that's worth buying is the white base which had beautiful fine golden shimmer in it. It reminds of the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer where you can wear the product alone as a highlighter or as a medium to mix your foundation/bb cream in for a satin finish. It also had a gel consistency and spread very well. The scent reminded me of natural beeswax.

I'm really grateful that Marcelle decided to do this type of project. When you purchase any one of these products, 50 cents will go to the Because I am a Girl campaign. Spotted! Annabelle 4Show & Day Dream Spring 2011 Collection

The Annabelle 4Show Collection was released not so long ago but it looks like this isn't the actual spring collection. I saw this at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. Annabelle says that these products are for makeup junkies who want to express their inner artistry! 

The Annabelle 4Show Collection features:

I really like Coralicious! It's a beautiful pinky coral colour hehe I have a soft spot for corals.

The eyeshadows are really lacking in pigmentation when used dry and the texture is on the harder side. Not velvety smooth :(

I also saw Annabelle's new LipStain Markers and Smoothie Eyeshadow Pencils at Shoppers but it was a different store. These two specific products are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart and they are also limited edition! I am always intrigued about new lipstains (still waiting on the NYC ones) so if I get the chance, I will definitely try them.

If you are dying to try out the LipStain Markers(~$8.95CAD), you better get them quick because they're limited edition >< I swatched these and they're like any other lipstain in terms of use and application. It's exactly like a marker, easy to control.

These Smoothie Eyeshadow Pencils(~$8.95CAD) are exactly how they are named: they glide on like a dream. If you've ever used an Annabelle smudgeliner, it's even smoother than that! You slick it on, wait for a minute or two, and BAM! It stays put without fading or smudging. I washed my hands with the swatches on and they didn't budge.

Grapefull stand out to me the most because it has blue shimmers in it, giving it a very mysterious effect.

Now, the actual Spring 2011 collection is called Day Dream. Featuring bright fun colours like flamboyant yellow, you're bound to scream spring (and Easter)! 

This limited edition collection includes:

I really hated my last Spotted! post where I had no actual live-in-action pictures to show you guys. So I went around the mall trying to be ninja and sneak some pictures onto my camera! ^^ I felt so nervous and out of place when I was snooping around at Shoppers(Drug Mart). The sales ladies were everywhere! And I believe that they have eyes of an eagle >< To my surprise, I actually found more new goodies to show you~!

They were so brand spanking new that some of them weren't even swatched yet! The colours didn't appeal to me though: they were pretty shades, but a lot of them had frosty finishes...

So I wasn't seeing things! The lipcolours are itty bitty but I really like the array of colours to choose from! The foundation reminds me of tinted moisturizers. Perhaps they'll work like one?

FOB: August, I Miss You

hey lovelies! i'm sorry with my absence but school just started and it's already hectic...i'm ahead on one day but totally behind on the other >.< i'm just glad that the weekend is here! i don't think i'll have as much time to watermark and resize my photos so i'm just going to let them be. it makes the whole photo more appealing anyways ^^ (please don't steal my pictures. if you want to use them, make sure you let me know and give me the credit).

FOB means 'fresh of the buy' (lol. i couldn't think of anything else). i'm going to show you what i've acquired over the month of august in a 'LOOK BOOK' fashion. it's just where i have very few (or even no descriptions). just pictures =)

my mom needed a new face product so i recommended theBalm balm shelter tinted moisturizer to her. the Bahama mama bronzer and overshadow the sexpots were both GWP.

posh brushes are no longer available at pharmaplus so i picked the eyeliner duo up before it was gone forever.

i went to toronto (pacific mall) and bought a cute acid wash skirt. i like it because of the wash and the length (not too short). some pens and pencils for back-to-school (unfortunately) and i got the strawberry as a thing where you add a bit of money when you reach a certain amount with your purchase. all the stationery stuff were $1CAD! it's really good cuz they're actually cute (not like the ones you get from the dollar store =P) also got my first pair of circle lenses! i don't know why but i look creepy in them...maybe i'm not used to them *sigh* i don't want to waste them. they are the GEO angel brown ones ^^

i'll most likely show you some of the stuff in detail sooner or later! so stay tune!

Mystical Fairytale Eyes featuring Annabelle HYPE Collection

i bought a few mono eyeshadows from annabelle's fall 2010 hype collection so i decided to play around with it. i just really love the bright colours and mixing & matching them led me to this ^^ it turned out to be pretty decent so i'm sharing it with you girls!

if you noticed, you can see that my lashes don't curl :( i have a manual and heated eyelash curler but they don;t really do anything. any suggestions?
